So for those of you who are here as personal friends of mine you likely know that I couldn't make a great sandwich if someone was paying me a million dollars (odd for an Airborne Infantrymen's wife I know I know I should be a glorified "sammich" maker) but I can salad your ass off if you give me the chance... so here ya go the Healthy Sweet & Salty Strawberry Salad and how it's made:
Ingredients:
- 2 Heaping handfuls of baby Spinach
- 3 sliced Strawberries
- 1 halved then quartered tomato
- 1/4 of a cucumber (skin still on) cut four ways
- 1 tablespoon of diced white onion
- 1 tablespoon of crumbled turkey bacon
- 2 tablespoons of slivered almonds
- 1 tablespoon of Sunsweet Antioxidant dried berry blend
- 2 Mezzetta Garlic stuffed green olives minced (include garlic clove)
- 2 tablespoons of crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons of Ken's Lite Caesar Dressing
Generally I like to make my food pretty or I won't eat it...so I assemble all the fresh ingredients then all the extra goodies down the middle and drizzle the dressing over the salad at the end so everything stays crunchy (I have two kiddos so most of the time I'm putting out a crisis meltdown before I can get to my plate)
Hope you all enjoy :) I'd love to know what you all think so please let me know and if you change the ingredients around... I love variety and change so tell me all about it!!
